At the invitation of ASIA NOW fair, Thanks for Nothing organizes a program of panels and a collaborative workshop to showcase the committed practices of the Asian art scene.

Highlighting a variety of individual and collective practices, the speakers demonstrate the artistic richness, innovative curatorial approaches and social commitment of the Asian scene.

Talk 1: Cultural Worker Rhizomes

The speakers, Abi Tariq (AFIELD), Jenn Ellis (APSARA Studio), will share testimonies of the diverse ways in which cultural workers operate as rhizomatic connectors, fostering collaboration, social change, and community engagement across borders. They will explore how their initiatives create sustainable networks for artists and cultural practitioners globally.

The talk brings together lens-based media artist Ali Kazma, curator and the founder of Fairplay Anlam de Coster. They will both describe how their practice focuses on labor and it’s rituals, while also describing the economy of the Turkish cultural scene.

Collaborative workshop with artist Frédéric Dialynas Sanchez

Thanks for Nothing organizes a collaborative and educational workshop with the artist Frédéric Dialynas Sanchez. It primarily concerns a kindergarten class at École Legouve. Children will explore movements in the history of art and environmental issues through experiments designed by the artist that involve creating pigments using materials such as spirulina.
